   Nothing is appealing about them. They have been done to death and are considered cheesy as well as skanky. .
   I know tattoo artists who wont even do them anymore and consider that a waste of their time and talent. Lower back tattoo’s are ridiculous. Just as the arm band tattoo’s. They have no meaning. Tattoo’s should have meaning and be a part of your life and tell a story. (and not the story about how your boyfriend stares at it while doing you doggy style either.)

   it’s called a tramp stamp by a lot of people. it’s another “bad girl” thing. She’s wild and usually promiscuous. Fun, but for a lot of people – not the right impression.
   I’m thinking of getting a lotus on the back of my shoulder, comes out of the muck and blooms a beautiful bright color. I’m thinking pink. It’s also buddha’s flower. enlightenment and all.
   I think a lot of people can relate to coming from some terrible place and becoming a better and stronger person. I also hope it’s not too cliche

   for me, and many other people, the female back is the sexiest part of the body. so when there’s a tattoo there its like…”omg”. lower back tattoos are usually tribal ( the ones that all look the same, the little designs) this kinda shows that a girl is tough enough to get a tattoo, but because its one the back, she’s still girly and sexy enough to attract attention.
   …..idk, i just think its hot.

   just a trendy type thing for the past couple years. trends come and go just like bell bottoms and hip huggers. a woman has the right to decide to get a tattoo anywhere on her body and not be considered a **** just because she did something that was popular at a certain time in her life.

   I think it is a trend, I don’t have one but if I decided to get one I don’t think my size would matter because different people like different things! While you have some people that may think it’s cute or sexy some think it’s trashy or slutty, I say to each his or her own, because it is a decision that individual has to make and who are we to label or judge them on what they do to their bodies!

   Nah lower back tatoos arent slutty. I think theyre sexy as long its like on a beach or something (or in the bedroom lol). But if theyre like walkin through the store and you can see them then thats kinda slutty.

    i dont know, im not going to say i dont like them, because ill probably end up with one sooner or later, but i do agree with you on the fact that alot of them are the same. if i got one, it would be totally different. i think alot of people get them just because, well, they want to look “sexy” but i think, that if its so generic that people call the one that the persons got a “tramp stamp” then its just a bulls eye

    well as you age that part of the body doesnt really sag as much (gravity has a larger effect on other areas! lol)
    also. i think the arms of legs are too masculine of an area for a tattoo. and near the pelvis area. the tattoo may stretch out if you were to become pregnant. or loose/gain a lot of weight (so i hear) so the lower back tattoo i think is an ideal place for a tattoo

    it is a large, relatively flat canvas…the same reason men use their upper arms, etc.

    it really depends on the person, the skin color, the body mas etc… im not trying to be rude, but sometimes “fuller” women look HORRIBLE with them, just because there is a lot of fat covering it…it looks like a “wave” but like a skinny girl with a nice back looks great with one (depending on the tattoo) it also depends on the way that person shows it…if she wears slutty clothes and everyone can see it..then the tattoo just adds to her slutty “status” but if its someone that just uses the tatto to feel sexy for herself, but its more concervative etc..then it is very sexy and nice….everyone looks different

    Nothing, I’ve heard people, mostly men say that the tattoos on that part of the back are a sign that the girl is easy and considered a tramp stamp.

    my personal opinion on tattoos period is that they do not look pretty. I would never do that to my body. I think it is a disgrace to your body. we are not a canvas. and i believe that the art of tattoos look better on paper than it does on the body. some people do it because they like it but i know that a lot of girls do it because they think it is sexy. we are art by ourselves, and there is no other being to compare to a human and I think we are beautiful just the way we are.

    Well, hopefully (it seems) that trend is coming to an end. Too bad for the ladies who got them and now will forever be viewed as s*luts. I don’t mean to offend; not saying that they are, just saying that they will mostly be viewed that way.
